Puppy pads may not be the most environmentally friendly but im all about easy and disposable! I have waterproof reusable pads for Guinea pigs but they get soooo yucky that I usually just order and replace with new…..too much human laundry to do
I’m planning to see how clean I can get the last set with the hose before I decide to put them through washer

Toss them in a 5 gal bucket full of water and leave to soak for a day or so. Then rinse and wash.

Yes. There are 7 eggs left in the incubator now. 4 more are supposed to hatch Wednesday, then 1 more next Saturday. The 2 eBay eggs were set 4/20, so if they hatch they will be sometime mid June.

6 healthy chicks

One wasn’t getting out of the egg, so I assisted. Found that it was semi deformed. Had a really long neck and had a hernia, like that other chick, off to the side under its leg.

But… this little bugger is in the freezer and going to a practicing taxidermist tomorrow morning they would like it’s shell too. I’ll get photos when she’s done.

So sorry you lost this little one. I hope this doesn't sound rude, but thank you for giving them over to a practicing taxidermist. Taxidermy has a special place in my heart and it makes me so happy (obviously not for the death), but that you're helping someone pursue it.
