So sorry you lost this little one. I hope this doesn't sound rude, but thank you for giving them over to a practicing taxidermist. Taxidermy has a special place in my heart and it makes me so happy (obviously not for the death), but that you're helping someone pursue it.

Kudos to you!

Oddly enough… I look at death as part of life. They contacted me a couple months ago and I kept their number. Not too many people have the stomach or nerves to be able to openly handle an animal’s dead body. I’m looking forward to seeing the results. Bring this little baby back to (almost) life!

Taxidermy has its place in the world. We just don’t think about it.

The last of my emus eggs is due to hatch tomorrow. Pulled it off of the turners last night. Once the egg stops leaning and sits level, the chick has moved into the air cell or the entire egg. It’s level now so I moved it for hatching.

The two eBay eggs were set 4/20. That puts them around 6/8 for hatch. If they’re alive, there’s a chance for tiny tiny wiggles next Friday (day 30). That will be my last check on them, then gone for a week. There’s a good chance it could drive me nuts for the entire trip lol.

Finally bought the humidity kit. Should have done that a long time ago… now my son can’t forget to put water in it daily. Last time we were gone, he didn’t do it both days So no more stressing out about that.
