Are these emu eggs fertile? Hatchalong

Pics
Do you think the cabinet incubator is helping your hatch rates? Or does it just seem that way to me?
The incubator has made a huge difference. So far all of the eggs that basically started in the cabinet have made it almost to hatch. I think it’s air exchange that’s doing it. Was definitely worth the purchase!

Still leaning towards female. But their website updated yesterday to “Testing in Progress” and I’ve checked it about 15 to 20 times since then lol no answer yet.

Almost lost the little one a couple hours ago. Put it down for a nap so I could do some work, went to check on it and it got stuck inside the cloth cover of the heating pad. It was breathing fast, eyes closed and it’s body was limp. I cooled it down and ran its feet and legs under cool water. After about 5 minutes, it worked. Scared the living crud out of me. The heat pad is only set on the lowest setting, but if it can’t get away from the heat, it’ll surely overheat. I’ll be fixing that asap!

Oh my gosh, I'm so glad you caught it in time!

3 little ones all out of their shells this morning. Samples are drying out and the wee ones are color coded.

Did a butt check on the second one and it looks to be male as well 🧐

Going with “Yellow tag” being male as well.

Haven’t checked green ones butt yet. But I can definitely see a white dot, which indicates male on the first two. I probably didn’t see the dot on the first one that hatched last week.

Thanks! I am trying to put something together similar to what you’re describing in the cabin. I purchased a used wire 8 panel play pen and it just now needs a heating source. Unfortunately (but also fortunately) the heating pad that I have has auto shut off. So it doesn’t keep a constant available heat source. So I’ll be looking for something that will work. With the size of the birds, I’ll need to find an extra large sized heat pad 🤔

This little bugger is so lucky I just took a position that started at home!
How about heated mattress pad or heated blanket?
