Are these emu eggs fertile? Hatchalong

I've heard they're really really aggressive...maybe an ostrich would be a better idea, lol! They can still be mean but maybe a little less likely to try to raptor style your guts.
Unfortunately, I have zero interest in ostrich. If I were to have cassowaries one day, all steps would be taken to make sure nothing ever happened. 7’ fence, locked gates and strict rules.

Have you seen the story where a female cassowary killed her owner and then was auctioned off because that is what the owner wanted to happen when he died.
Oh yes! That’s like having tigers and walking around in their pen like they’re dogs, then big news when the handler is killed. Or the guy that “lived” with grizzlies, then it was a big news story when he was killed. The guy with the cassowary lost respect for how wild his animal was and wasn’t prepared at every moment like he should have been. Tragic either way you look at it, but I wouldn’t walk around willy nilly in a cassowary enclosure. Me no dummy!

There were times with Willy that I was starting to get concerned about her aggression (during breeding season) but called her bluffs and remembered she’s just an emu. Cassowary would be an entirely different story.

Look at its stripey little bum…

A few years ago, here in Ohio, a guy in Zanesville killed himself but not before he opened all his bear, tiger, and lion cages. Some animals were eating his body but most ran. Took law forever to get them and there are stories that they didn't get them all

Maybe they should make a mental evaluation of the person mandatory before allowing them to have the permits. What a butt for doing that! Someone’s kid could have been eaten on their way home from school.

Read through this thread this morning. What a Rollercoaster! So happy you got babies 😁
Me too! Thought she would stop laying at 8 eggs, nope. Thought they weren’t fertile, nope. Thought none would make it to hatch, nope. Thought I wouldn’t sell any, nope.

The next negative thought is the blonde/white potentials probably won’t hatch/develop.

🤞🏻 here’s hoping this thought is wrong as well lol

I know what you're saying seems right, but sane people can act crazy and crazy people can act sane. 😳

Unfortunately, you are correct.

But if they can weed out just ☝️ crazy, then one kid would be saved from being eaten by a tiger on their way home from school.
It's a very wooded area so I can't imagine a kid would be walking but who knows? Public hunting grounds actually. Hunters have reported seeing and hearing lions for years. African lions not mountain lions. Dumbass had a lot that he let loose
