Are these girls Barred Rocks?

Def. not Barred Rocks, and I don't have any chicks that look like that so I have no Idea what they could be.

For sure they are not barred rocks.

Roos or pullets, I am way out of practice, but just throwing a guess out there, one roo ---one pullet.

No idea as to what breed they actually are, but deffinitely not barred rock.

Not Barred Rocks......

First one is a partridge plymouth rock ROOSTER.

Second looks to be either Dark Cornish or Dark Cornish mix and might be female. Might... picks in two weeks should answer it.

But that first sucker with the HUGE feet, large comb and juvenille partridge pattern is a Rock and it's a BOY. A big ONE. Gonna have a nice head.

Thanks everyone! I'll post pics in 2 weeks. I appreciate all the help!

We have 1 dark Cornish pullet and the 2nd one looks like her, in my opinion. Ours was sold to us as a pullet, so I assume that's what she is until she proves otherwise.

The feathering on the first one reminds me of my favorite EE (see my avatar), but it doesn't have muffs so that's probably not what it is. I wouldn't say either of them have large enough combs yet to say for sure that they are roos.

I do know that neither is a barred rock. That's for certain!

I think they are both partridge rocks. I breed giant partridge cochins and the colors are definately the same. Some will get alot of black on the breast for awhile.

Maybe they're Barred Rock/ Rhode Island Red crosses. You can develop a new breed and call them Rocky Rhodes.
