Hello all,

I have attached a photo below of 3 chickens.

Are these good quality chickens (show birds) and also are they purebred Brahma?

Also do they look under a year old?

Thank you in advance.

As I'm sure you know the one in the back is a rooster. I'm not sure of their age, they don't look to old though. I've always know brahmas to have some black feathers around their neck, I'm sure there are other varieties though. I think they'd make fine show chickens!

After a bit of searching, the best I can tell is that "Light Brahmas" are supposed to have a Colombian feather pattern. It seems that the all-white Brahma color pattern is not recognized by the APA. However, that said, it also seems that shows may have an "any other color" category where I guess you could put them. Please note there's a lot of supposition going on here, and this is just what I found with a few minutes searching.
