that's right but I've heard that they lay early3.5 to 4 months old is a bit early especially this time of year.
okayAnywhere from 16 to 21 weeks is when they start laying. My pullets started laying week 20.5 and that was about when everyone else started reporting theirs laying on the forum this year.
I hope so...Getting close. Leghorns have been our first to start, as early as 15 or 16 weeks.
Im not sure about the large combs.. they just need to have bright red combs. My hens started laying at about 20 weeks.Much larger combs and they flopped over to the point they were almost covering an eye.
