Are these white leghorns close to laying?

I've found that keeping them under extended light all year makes it less effective.

I've only had chickens for the last 2 months so I'm kinda new to this

Whenever I get near they fly higher than me

These are my leghorns around 22ish weeks and they aren’t laying yet. So I’d say you still have a ways to go. One of their combs is bigger and floppier since this pic but not quite as red. It’s hard to be patient, but I trust it’ll be soon.

wow 22 weeks is old enough yours will probably start laying soon but as for mine I should wait for another month

we ended up getting our first egg today! I have been obsessively checking and then I randomly checked again today and to my surprise there was an egg!

Here’s a pic of my leghorn the week she started laying. (22 weeks) I was told the flopped over comb is a telltale sign(along with the stooping when I went near her).
