I've only had chickens for the last 2 months so I'm kinda new to thisI've found that keeping them under extended light all year makes it less effective.

Yea I guess they need another monththis was her October 2nd. I think your girls still have a little ways to go. Could be a month, maybe less.
Whenever I get near they fly higher than meThey will also squat when you come near or attempt to pick them up when they are at POL.
wow 22 weeks is old enough yours will probably start laying soon but as for mine I should wait for another monthThese are my leghorns around 22ish weeks and they aren’t laying yet. So I’d say you still have a ways to go. One of their combs is bigger and floppier since this pic but not quite as red. It’s hard to be patient, but I trust it’ll be soon.

haha thats great congrats how much does your chicken weight now?we ended up getting our first egg today! I have been obsessively checking and then I randomly checked again today and to my surprise there was an egg!
