    Are white leghorns chickens a species of bantam chicken?Just curios.............

    No, Leghorn is a breed that comes in both large fowl and bantam sizes. Leghorns also come in several colors other than white.

    The species is chicken. The breed is the type/size. Many breeds come in both sizes.

    They do tend to be slimer and trimer than most LF, though.
