Are they gonna eat it?

I'm not arguing with you about it. I'm just blown away that the guy would tell me that. He was supposed to be the guru in there.

I didn't think you were. I am not sure why he would think scratch is good as a main food source. My old neighbour is in his 70's and he is originally from Malaysia he thinks a few scraps are enough for his hens even though I have tried to tell him otherwise. He does complain that his hens don't lay well and die off often.. He has finally recently started to buy a cheap layer pellet for them. He does also think my hens are overindulged.

I bought a layer pellet yesterday for them. The guy at ace was so wrong!!! He told me that the chickens wouldn't eat I because its too big for them.... Has this guy ever even looked in one of these bags?!?! Started feeding them with the pellets last night. They devour it!!! How many times a day should I feed them and how much do you recommend at each feeding?

Feed as much as they can eat. Usually 4 ounce per chicken.

I have a container that i keep full all the time. They normally wont eat more than they need.
