Are they safe to eat?

We have a very handy farm dog who eats all the poopy eggs that are too yucky for the kitchen... even the cracked eggs from the same day. He eats the poop without the eggs when he is out with the flock
Cracked egg...no way.
Run egg.....depends on how 'dirty' it is,
some are too disgusting to bother with cleaning, IMO.

There's a little dirt on a fresh egg, and there's really dirty. I throw those away too.

, so I know they don’t harm him! :)

We get cracked Eggs sometimes and sometimes really dirty eggs. I know what people say but a lot of times I simply pick them up and throw them the girls. They will rush it (they free range). They'll eat all of it and what they don't the 2 lgd will. I'll continue to do this until we see a problem, but for now the girls wont eat eggs in a nest or one just laying on the ground.
Other times when were cooking we will go get these what if eggs and scramble them and feed the chickens that.
We just do what's working for us right now.

Any soft shelled, thin shelled, cracked eggs or covered in poop, get smashed on the ground and the hens devour them.
An egg with egg whites/yoke on shell gets washed. I wash all eggs that don't get fed to chickens. GC
