Are TSC chicks vaccinated?

I know this is an old thread, but I would like to have any updates if available.
TSC gets the majority of their chicks from Hoover's Hatcheries. Hoovers does NOT vaccinate their chicks, except upon request or where required by State law. (Similar language in their catalogues, going back at least a decade). Hoovers, like other large hatcheries, routinely tests their breeders for disease, and maintains closed flocks. In that way, they virtually guarantee the eggs from those birds are also free of the diseases tested for.

The remaining common disease vectors are mosquito born and wild avian born diseases, then human transfer from an outside flock to their own breeders. I assume they take reasonable precautions to prevent that, as it would cost them their business (or at least, a huge hit to the viability of their business, as well as their professional reputation) otherwise.

The same is true for other large scale hatcheries.
