I don't really think that this counts as being addicted to this site, but I get to work early every day, check BYC, then start my teaching day. If I have a few minutes that I can spare during the day, I check BYC. I check BYC at lunch if I'm not working with students. I check BYC before I leave for home. Then I check it again after I've gotten the "must do's" done at home. I don't think this counts as addiction!!!

Yep, I'm here too. Following pretty much the same routine that hsm5grls does, except I've added the carousel effect. Here's how it works: You check the BYC forum, read and reply, then you go to the easy gardening site... http://www.theeasygarden.com/forum/ (the sister site) read, reply, repeat. Hard to do on dial-up but the SO is promising satelite internet after the first of the year.

I'm still managing to get my chores and other responsibilities done, but I know it's an isidious addiction that will soon take over my whole life!

Just one question...while we are all on here, who's minding the chickens?

I am on about 15 different poultry boards and like them all and learn something from each. However BYC is the most enjoyable and I am truly hooked. I spend more time here than on any other board.

As I tell DH, there are worse things to be addicted to.


BTW, I am usually on 3, 4, 5 times everyday, sometimes more!

I, too, admit I am powerless over BYC and that my life has become even MORE unmanageable!

I have BOTH my yahoo e-mail and BYC forum up, no matter what, through out the day. I deviate from chat to forum to chat to forum.

"Wait! Did I just see someone go into chat..."

-back to chat!

"NO! Wait! I think I saw someone enter a new response to TPBM, word assc., chicken joke of day, etc!"

-back to forum!

I'm running back and forth like a, well, chicken with her head cut off!!!

PS Notice how I said "her" after chicken? Before joining BYC, I would say "it" but I am now even PC about chickens/roosters!

I don't ever shut BYC off until I leave to go to work, then DH has the puter cranked up for me when I get home at night.

It's addicting this chicken thing LOL but I love it.
