Adorable chicky! Is that an outline of the aircell you have on the egg top? I just heard recently about keeping track of how eggs were doing by tracing the aircell when you candled. I don't see how a person has the time to do it if you have very many eggs in...but it seems like a good idea.

Can I change my hatch date to the 24th? I have a second batch hatching then. I didn't take any pictures in the incubator of the ones that hatched on the 2nd. Good thing I have more hatching!

For my first hatch, I laid mine on their side. Had 9/9 hatch. It is up to you. Chicken eggs can go big side up or on side. I have read that duck and goose eggs do better on their sides.

I settled for inbetween. So they are not up and they are not all the way on their sides. Kinda leaning. I didnt know how tightly to put the rails next to the eggs either.

Lock down was Tuesday on the Blue Laced Red Wyandottes and I surprised with a peep when I got home today. Went out to feed and came in to another one

There are more to go... Due to glare I kept the flash off.
