Here is my april Hatchalong foto. I have 9out of 10 barn yard mix that hatched on April 6. The duck eggs hatched on April 11. I got 5 out of 10 Not to bad for my first try.

I had two last night which I already posted but this morning there were more. Sent a text to my DH today asking how many did we have now... his reply was "don't know, it's full"

well when I got home I opened up the ECO 20 and there were 16! That left two eggs untouched. Left them alone for just in case but I think we're done. I am so pleased. Now I need to figure out how to clean the upper part of the lid. It's full of chick down and I can't read the thermometer anymore

I had 2 Call ducklings and 3 Mille Fleur Bantam Cochin chicks hatch in my Brinsea Octagon 20 ECO incubators so far this month...I have 1 more lonely Call duck due tomorrow or Sunday, and then I there's a batch of 4 Call ducklings due the 23rd, Columbian Bantam Cochins due the 29th...and I think there's another batch of 5 Call ducklings that will be hatching right around the end of the month, but they might lapse into early May. I have all their due dates written on the eggs themselves, but I just candled this morning and I don't want to disturb them again today!

I'm interested in comparing my incs. The hovabator I've found so far to be terrible 50% hatches if I'm lucky. I need to install a digital temp on it.

Hey, gurl how are things going? I'm gonna do 120 bob's next hatch.

Well it's been raining a lot here and my indoor house humidity has been over 60. Of course that means my bator humidity is high too. My 7 duck eggs are halfway thru, but the daily weight measures confirm humidity is way too high. Not much I can do about it, bbut hope that things dry up over the next period! So we will see.

120 bob's? My goodness. I can arrange a hunt test out at your place with the grey dogs of TX if that will help!

Today I candled my 24 Orpington eggs and it was day 9. Out of 24 I had 4 infertile and 5 "question-marks". So...I'm thinking I may just do all right with these shipped eggs. These are English/American Blue/Splash/Black Orpingtons and I can't wait to see them hatch out!! I left the questionables in...and will see how they look day 18.
