I had to help a couple of our duck eggs I just chipped away a tiny bit of the shell around their pip to give them more breathing room. A couple I had to carefully pull a little bit of the dried membrane away as well. I then took warm wet paper towels and created little donut bases for them and put the eggs, pip up in the base. They then finished in the next 12 hours on their own. I now have 9 healthy baby ducks! This is not my entry (I already posted that above) but here is a pic to share with you all.

well i finally finished helping the little duck out she is tired but other than that looks to be doing oknothing going on with the other eggs yet. official hatch day is tomorrow so i am still holding out hope for them and hopefully they will not need assistance. here is my photo! i'll head to facebook in a min or two!

36 hrs after the first pip yesterday, this little duckling arrived. He's busy cheering on # 2 who is almost out of the shell. This is the first time I've hatched ducklings in my Brinsea mini advance. The Campbells pipped on Day 26, still waiting on the Cayuga's to pip

This is a horrible picture, but believe me this is the best picture I got while the chicks were in the incubator. I"m a horrible photographer! I started with 24 eggs, went down to 20 at lock-down and had 18 successfully hatch. The two that didn't hatch died earlier in incubation. Thanks and I'll be posting to FB in a couple of minutes.

Almost forgot,

They hatched from the 23rd to the 25th of april.
