Grits.........ewwww...............might as well be eating chicken food......................

As for watermelons, I do grow them. AND I make my own SWEET tea.

How far north are you? If you're just barely out of the South, I can see how it's possible to grow melons.

How dare you insult grits?! BURN, FOUL YANKEE! (In case anyone didn't pick up on it, I'm KIDDING!)

I my dear lad am in Maine. This has been the first year I have successfully grown A watermelon and I am proud to say it is the size of a silver dollar. No, wait that is a quarter. I did in fact get a couple honeydews though.

As for grits....................... I did spend some time in FL being a nanny to the worlds most spoiled, rude children. I did take a liking to grits with butter for breakfast with my eggs. Ever tried Polenta?

Yankee yes, foul only sometimes, burn???? Hey if it keeps me warm........ Hot steak is better than a cold chop.

My hat's off to you! I didn't think that was possible! Small though it is, I call that an impressive achievement.

Uh, never heard of Polenta. It sounds like it would be either delicious or disgusting.
