Are you hosting Thanksgiving this year?

DH's relatives usually are all together for Turkey Day. My relatives usually alternate, but not everyone shows.
The last 5 years I've cooked for us (dh, myself & our 2 boys), my father and my uncle. This year, DH wants to bounce around I guess.

We may do his sisters and my parents place this year. Depends what everyone else is doing.

I may make dressing, potatoes and gravy that night for dinner so I don't feel sorry for myself. I don't care much about the rest of the meal, though.

Yes, we will have DH & I, any stray friends, my grandparents, and maybe my aunt and nephew.

I want to slow cook a brisket this year. Yummy! DH always makes his delicious pumpkin pie. I suppose we'll have taters, green been casserole, and salad. Have to keep it easy & delicious as I am not a kitchen genius.

I have a sil who is always putting gravy on my stuffing before I even serve it and making it soupy even though is was already moist. Each yr we have about 25 to 30 people and she always has something to complain about that I didn't do right. I know that I should be thankful for family but it grates on my nerves and this yr I might even have to ask her to leave so that I can enjoy a holiday for a change.

We are having Thanksgiving at our house this year. Me and one of my cousins switch up between Christmas and Thanksgiving and I have Thanksgiving this year. I will do the turkey, cornbread dressing, potatoes, caramel cake, pecan pie, apple cinnamon cheesecake and whatever else I feel like whipping up. We will have around 60 + people this year. AND I am in the midst of repainting every room in my entire house!!!

Every year it's just me and my hubby. We used to attend a morning Thanksgiving church service in the town north of us, but they've gone kinda freaky liberal, so we'll just be home all day this year.

That's what happens when you move far away from family and your spouse doesn't like to travel.

Thanks - added to the recipe cache.
