Are you kidding me?!?! Weird Ebay Auction

I wrote him and asked this...
"Why will you not sell to anyone in NC? I live in NC and raise game fowl. I know it is not against the law to sell them or have them. Unless you sell them knowing they will be used for illegal purpose."

I got this back...
"i can tell what type of person you are with what you are accusing me of. i do not sell them for illegal purposes . i do not sell in north carolina because i do not want someone to be able to come and steal all my birds or possibly steal anything else. thanks"

WTH? His birds do not even look like pure game. The ones he says are crosses do not even look it. I have raised mine for may years and his look like they are mixed with other types of chickens. I can bet you if he ever has any pics that look right he stole the pic. NONE of the people I know that raise game or any other chickens would let them be killed by hawks on a regular basis. that is what brood pens, flight pens, conditioning pens are for. He is Crazy!!!!.

Get over it people! They are his birds to do with as he sees fit! All he did was take a picture of a hawk getting his dinner. I dont know why he would post a picture of it on and add selling eggs. But the hawk making a kill is all part of the eco system and nature.

I saw a redtail hawk pick up a grown guneia one time and got it about 7 or 8 feet off the ground and dropped it! I would of got a picture of that , but i did'nt have my camera with me

"They are his birds to do with as he sees fit!"

I agree, but it bothers me to know that they are not being protected from wildlife, in a legal fashion, of course. I know that some losses will occur, but this person doesn't seem to care about the welfare of his animals.

oh yes I get it that he loses birds while free ranging and I cant imagine he wants to loose something he put time and money and love into, its just that the pic is so strange, i would have gotten a shot of the hawk as well, actually I have several pics of them eyeing my chooks, I dont know maybe I am too easily ammused lol

This guy's e-mails are poorly written which in turn dictates to me the level of intelligence. I'm surprised nobody has reported him, his auctions and tactless responses to his e-mails over to EBay. Hmm..

Just my two cents.

I will be negging him today, I had held off because in all my years on FeeBay I had only negged one other seller(scammer). I really loath giving negs.

He IS not playing with a full deck, he can ship eggs to NC residents without revealing his location. And that is not the reason he gave me AFTER he accepted my money.

How can you be selling pure gamefowl and crosses if you let them free range. He lists several different breeds and crosses in each category in his listings. If he indeed is free ranging he is outright misrepresenting in his listings.

One excuse he gave me for not fullfilling his bargain was his eggs were gettting wet from rain. WTH were does he have his nest boxes even IF he has them. Does he pick them up from the field he free ranges in. Another excuse he gave was his hens were not laying. YET he continued to put listings up at a rate of at least 5 a day.

The guys responses flat out confuse me. Does he think if someone wanted to steal his birds and 'stuff' that if they lived the next state over they couldn't find him? Does he think noone travels?

None of his responses are justified or make much sense. They are very defensive. Why advertise your eggs/future hatches as Falcon food and then try to claim the one that got eaten was an unfortunate accident and get an attitude about it? What a strange individual.

Oh this takes the cake! He didnt want someone to take them, could it be he is raising cock fighters (mods, I know!)(illegial in NC) or is it possible he could have stolen them from someone else??? He may have been in trouble with the law LOL! You will have to play pyschologist to figure him out.

Thanks for the entertainment!
