are you supposed to put the ducks food like crumble or pellets in the water, keep water near the food or what??

First 6 weeks
Purina Flock Raiser crumbles
Purina Duck pellets crushed when little
Manna Pro all flock crumbles
Mazuri waterfowl starter this comes 25 lb bags, probably too much for you.

After 6 weeks
Purina Flock Raiser pellets
Purina Duck Pellets
Manna Pro all flock pellets ( I think this comes in pellets I'm not as familiar with this brand)
Mazuri waterfowl diet

The important thing with feed is that it is formulated for waterfowl or a mixed flock of different type of birds.
I don't feed layer, even to my ducks that are laying. I offer them crushed oyster shell on the side and they take what they need.

You need a feed bowl and a water bowl with a small enough opening they can't fall in. If you have a little ramekin in the kitchen you could use that the first week of you don't want to buy a chick waterer. Then I cut a hole in a cheap flat plastic container for after the first week of so

You need bedding and a brooder, I use puppy pee pads in a kiddie pool. if you are a Costco member, they have the best deal going on pee pads at 100 for $15. You need the kiddie pool to be about twelve inches deep or they will be running all over your house. You need a heat source for them to get under if they are cold and room to get away if they are hot.

You need chick grit for the first 6 weeks, then poultry grit.
Some of all of this things you should find at Tractor Supply, Rural King of any local farm or feed supply store. These sorts of things can for a lot more if you order on Amazon, if your local Tractor supply doesn't have them you can usually order them on line at Tractor Supply and have them delivered to the store for free.
Come back if you have more questions

Yes. Feel free to post here and there are lots of experts here that I can tag in if I don't know the answer. You can PM me as well if you don't get a prompt response here.

I go to Tractor supply and for my Khaki's I use Dumor chick starter grower 20% for 6 weeks. I for the first week or two I use a cup on the counter to grind the crumbles a bit smaller. They always have water. I use Dumor layer when they are adults. My birds won't eat oyster shell so the 2 males and the females all eat the layer feed. They do eat from the yard every day there is no snow also. I've been doing this for seven years.

wow really, well what do you think about the recommendations magnolia ducks gave me bc in total it was 137.24 with free shipping but there was one food item that i couldn't find which were "Manna Pro all flock pellets ( I think this comes in pellets I'm not as familiar with this brand)" and i switched to Nutrena Naturewise All Flock
Did you try to buy everything on the list? I’m pretty sure Magnolia was giving you a list of options to choose from. - Buy a bag of Purina Flock Raiser crumbles and give it to them with water available. I use a flat dish for food and in the first weeks an inexpensive chick waterer. When you start to give treats (lettuce, veggies, mealworms, etc) makes sure they have chick grit. I sprinkle brewer’s yeast on the crumble - good to go.
Wait on the rest until you need it.
