Are your May babies laying?

If I can figure out which of the six SilkieX pullets in that pen that she is!! I have my suspicion that she is one of the splash girls, because they are the biggest, and I'm hoping it's the one with the nice poufy head. Before I switched roosters around, all I got in the F2 generation were smooth feathered. Now that I've moved all except the spash roo, I'm getting some fine looking SilkieX babies with proper feathers!

We got our chicks a couple weeks apart for 3 weeks, 3 batches…..around Easter. Started with 8, then chicken math….lost two, got 4, etc.

I have two BO’s from my original purchase that started laying last month. Two of my BRs started laying in the last two weeks, and yesterday I got my first bright minty green pastel egg from one of my Americauna girls!

I was so excited to see that! I hope my other one lays blue eggs….we won’t even have to color eggs next Easter. So we got 3 eggs yesterday and two each day previous for the last two weeks. The other should start soon! It’s exciting going into the coop not knowing how many more will be laying!

I have 4 girls that are from march and none of them have started laying yet. I hope they will eventually lay, I'm still having to buy eggs from the store

I have two May 3 hatch Buff Orpingtons that haven't started laying yet. One of them is starting to do the squatting thing when I pet her. My third B.O. ironically... hatched a week later AND I was sure that she was a he!! She has been laying for the past 17 days! 16 eggs out of 17 days! Such a good girl!
