I'm really afraid of getting my hopes up. Get tired of having them dashed, but it is looking really good! As Gallo said, no irrigation, but it has it's own well.
First thing I'll have to put a fence around it and build coops and storage. But to save $1500 a month, have some land and well! ! ! I 'll be tickled spitless!
Bob's H - forgot to add that I love the phrase "tickled spitless!" That, along with the image of little Burgess Meridiths quacking about the yard, have given me the giggles

WOOHOO!!!
You can build a lot of coops and fences with that savings!
Congrats...I have lots of land and you do have to be CAREFULL....you can fill it up fast. We have been on our ten acres for 10 years
Now are at the stage where we are getting a NEW HOUSE...the old one gets to be my chicken stuff. And we are cleaning up...really it is a new start.
I have goats, cows, sheep, dog and cats besides the poultry right now
5pinkarrows - how are your new birds doing? Thanks for mentioning the duck poo. I was on a dangerous path but have been brought back in line. I really can't have and don't need ducks, especially with the extra poo!
