Thanks y'all, the coop has one small space right near the roof. I have had chickens out there for weeks and today was the day I guess.
Major over-haul time.

I am south of Phoenix - Maricopa. My chickens are out in a coop - 56 of them. They are about 2 months old now. Is it OK to shut the light off at night now. I've never left them in the dark yet? Thanks!

Speaking of those Japanese girls, we finally got an egg today!!! It is sooo tiny and cute. They finally decided our nesting box is okay. This is the first day I have seen them in it, and I suppose one decided it was egg worthy. YAY!! Of course, it would take a whole dozen to make an omelet.

Mandy, so sorry about you having to cull a chick. I feel for you. I think this is one of the biggest of having a husband. He can do all that stuff that I am just not programmed to do, like kill stuff and reach stuff on the top shelf.

I do recall seeing several Moms with kids and strollers...

YES!!!! I guess I did see you!! Shoot! Oh, well. It was nice almost meeting you.

they are soooo cute. Laree and I poked em last week with mareks, they were very good little patients and also went to my son's preschool for show and tell beforehand.

This is the wall I Killz'ed just now. During construction, it was drywalled, textured, but never painted. We ran out of time---and it was looooow on the list of to dos.

It is the wall where the dining table sits: specifically, where the bench presses against the wall. We make the boys sit there, as we can fence them in.
