This is so cool!

Thanks!!!! How are your babies doing?

I have 6 left. They are chubby cheeked fuzzy love on 3 toes. Massively cute. Someone got 4 Americaunas, the new FBCM and the 3 week old FBCM (

).

I may have to keep them. And get more FBCM's. And build another coop. I love the FBCM's. They are so vigorous!

We went to The Stock Shop today, and the DH found the one chick out of the 500 running around in the bin with a (minor) case of cross-beak. Suddenly, he turns into a bleeding-heart chicken hugger, and goes and begs the manager to let him have the chick for free. Since the feed store usually puts the cross-beak chicks down, she said yes, and I have another special needs chicken.

Now if I could only get him to love up on a duckling. Or a goose. I could go for a goose.

Anybody interested in a North Phoenix meetup?

One suggested location is the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf on Cave Creek just south of the 101 in the plaza with Costco. I'm guessing we need to give this a few weeks to get enough people involved so suggested time is Saturday May 28th at 10AM.

Let me know what you think, and if you have a better suggestion for a meetup location.

Here's our new chicks!!! Still have 4 eggs in the bator, they are still moving around in there if I candle, so leaving them there to see if they can pip and zip.
Hey Mahonri ... is the one that is more yellow still a wheaton ameraucana? It is really different than all of the rest. Thank you again for the eggs!!! The chicks are so adorable!

Hi Laree - I went to the Stock Shop today too, to pick up a couple of BPR babies to add to the brood of chicks from my online order and hatched eggs (all same age - about 2 weeks old).

I also found an odd chick - not a crossbeak, but a one of a kind chick. It is black with puffy chicks and a very strange/flat/wide comb. The only other black chicks at the stock ship are BPR (and this is not a BPR) and the only other fluffy faced chicks are the EEs and I've never see a black EE at the Stock Shop (The EEs at The Stock Shop are generally the partridge type colors).

I'm not sure if it's a polish? or ??? -- there is no topknot/puffball on the head, like the other polish chicks I've seen, but I can't figure out what else it would be -- all black, yellow tummy, and bearded face. I just had to take it home, since it was the only one like it ..... and a mystery

It better be a girl.

Turkey Breeder --
Thanks for the tamales - they are very good. It was also helpful that your brother lives near The Stock Shop - I went there right after picking up the tamales. I'm glad your broody is still setting and I'm sure she'll make it till the end (Tuesday!)

To all the Hatchers, this week
-- Congrats!
