Thought I would share my new chicks with you all. I ordered from My Pet Chicken (for the second time) and was again pretty impressed with the quality of the chicks - I am new to this so probably wouldn't know anyways
I received 1 Naked Neck, 1 Partridge Penedesenca and 2 Welsummers. All are healthy, my last order with them I had one DOA (a Buff Brahma).
Just having problems with my 3 month old Bantam Cochin Roo, he turned evil overnight! I am covered in scratches, peck marks and bruises... any advice?

3 months is pretty young to be a meanie already. I would be thinking of culling. Have you done a search on here?? There are almost as many theories on Roosters as there are BYC'ers.

Congratulations on your new chicks!!
I am going to confess and hope nobody is calling the humane society on me... One of my roosters decided to get bossy and challenged me. I kicked him in the chest with the soles of my shoes in a forward-upward motion. This catapulted him 15 feet backwards but did not harm him in any way
. He has been very polite since and does not confront me, only shows me his side or back, never his front. Hope it lasts. He was 20+ weeks old though.
come on over here. i have SIX CHILDREN today. count them, SIX!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG, i am almost kate gosselin, except not completely nutso and no babysitter. let's see, i have 3 second graders, 2 kinders and a preschooler! that'll make you rethink that whole baby thing in NO TIME FLAT!

Thanks, yeah I read quite a few things and you are right, sooo many different opinions, I figured 3 months was a little young to be attacking me too!
Haha, a kick to the chest... glad it sorted him out! I did push my roo back with my hand but it just got him even more riled up and he charged, I was suprised at the force. I am going to give him a few months to change his attitude otherwise he will be dinner
