I'm really, really hoping she is a giant Production Red Pullet!

Here's my bigger PR next to my GSL. (both 6 weeks today)

I'm pretty sure she's a she. Her comb is a little bigger than the other PR and she shows a little wattle but I found a picture of a 6 wk old PR pullet on BYC that had much more comb and wattle than this one does.

This lighter GSL is the one I'm worried about. "Her" comb is no bigger than the other GSL's, but "she" is mostly white and is VERY slow to feather.

I am looking at her face and she does not have much in the way of facial feathers (Unlike my poor One Dot) The others have the same lack of face feathers.

Thanks for the link. I really liked that article. Chickens could eventually make all of us healthier!

I have a NH pullet, but she hasn't started to lay yet... I suppose I could hatch out some TJ eggs to get a roo and put him over her...

I'm just so scared about someone turning me in.

Today, I got two of the most GORGEOUS blue (unfertile) ameraucana eggs. I so wish I would have kept the younger splash roo that I gave to Boston. I do have a little blue wheaten roo but he is only pet quality and I'll have to take him for a drive once he starts to crow.

Maybe you could get him back for stud service?

Second bantam Cochin mix egg hatched today. One to go, I think it's due tomorrow. They look like a couple of penguin chicks running around, especially when they pop out from under the broody.

Mahonri,
the first eggs available will be coming your way

. Roosters are easy to spot early on (same as with wheaten Ameraucanas) but mine were practicing to crow at 10 weeks already

. I am hoping you can find a way to get back into hatching! What a shame about those beautiful blue eggs

. I got a blue wheaten cockerel and a pullet from your eggs. Not sure about the sex of the OE and BWAxBrahma mix.

Did your friend get that baby splash roo that i dropped off to you too? i just still can't believe it, two perfect breeding roos and NEITHER of us could even keep ONE!!!!! the 3 pullets that are left from the hatch are all blue wheaten, muffed and bearded. very pretty little 4 month old pullets
