How old are they? Maybe they just reached the end of their cycle. Mine when nuts and all went to beetles too, but they were all from the same batch, bought at a feed store, so I just figured they reached the end of the cycle.

I just got 500 more and a set of the 3 drawer tote to get ready for them in the next few days.

I'm good on bran!

The smallest my feed store had was a 10 lb bag. And it will last me awhile!

I am using it in other ways though. I sprinkle it on egg and cornbread that I give my other birds.

Keep as much of the extra in the freezer or good sealed tuperware. LOL! Buy a few new ones, don't steal Tammy's!

They really would fit in at the cemetery where I work. DH put them in our home office. They are thriving so far. All have turned into beetles and have been busy making new baby mealworms.
