It is 7AM on a Sunday morning; an hour I am loath to see on such a day. However, I believe I was awoken from a crow emanating from beneath my window!

What is the minimum crowing age? This roo is only 10 weeks old. Is it possible?

He did it three times separated by a minute or two.

Tammy heard it also and agreed it came from downstairs, not next door.

Really?

It wasn't a full on proud crow, a weak, raspy, tentative crow - but it came locally!

Possible? Or are we dreaming?

I stood outside in a bathrobe and sneakers freezing my sphericals off, but no repeat performance.

Seriously?

Possibly?

7:30. I have crimped the copper tubing and removed the compressor. I plugged it in and have temperature and humidity readings. I hear fans running. Now I'm going to drill a hole to feed the heater cord and egg turner cord through. DH is still asleep. The kids are still asleep. I have an evil smile on my face. I've got my mad scientist on but good.
Bwaaaahahahaha.

To the la-BOR -a-tory Cricket!

P.S. My dog Cricket is my best minion. Always at my side, always faithful, always supportive, and quiet. Very quiet.
P.P.S. Why is there no mad scientist smiley? With a lab coat? I have no lab coat so am wearing my white terry robe. *sigh*

My banty Roos and Egyptians started crowing at three weeks. It was scratchy and goofy sounding but it was crowing. I'm actually surprised these guys have taken this long. I was just thinking yesterday that I'm glad all the red broilers and packing peanuts Arendt crowing, since they aren't ready to process yet.

Dang. Coffe isn't even done yet in my house. The dogs didn't aren't even done eating their turkey necks. ( breakfast) no way would I be inventing at this hour on a balmy Sunday morning.

My productive hours usually involve everyone else being asleep.
