We ended up rehoming them. The chickens, not the neighbors.

Not because of the neighbors as much, as that I had a miscarriage and and now am expecting again and I had some wicked morning sickness. This time around we are doing only silkies, and we are planning on moving to Queen Creek in 3 months so we won't have to worry about them much longer. I am so excited about the move. We are planning a fruit orchard with guavas, and maybe even some almonds. It will be nice to be out with like minded people, instead of city slickers, LOL!

cool queen creek has some nice land for farming
we have some guava tree's for my graduation
my aunt made me a guava cake

I think, I think I may have 3/3 silky hens. Could it be possible? They all have small combs, no hackle and rounded tail. The lightest gray one has a slightly slicked back head puff but they are hatchery chicks.
Also, I'm not sure all three are actually blue. One looks black. One is grayish and one is blue. How do I tell steel gray from blue from black? Or, do variations of gray come in a blue batch? I'm assuming an occassional black is normal, just like splash?

Soooooo I meet a forum member early today in Phoenix, got some beautiful EE hens for the grand kid so they can have their "very own" chickens and eggs for Christmas.

Just came in from climbing a ladder 12 feet up to retrieve two EE from a large Mesquite tree next to their new home with a wonderful hen house they chose to be escorted to instead of just walking in....

keep some, sell some. what colors do you have? i have 2 blue and 1 partridge that are about 2 1/2 months and now these new babies that laree popped out of her bator for me. we put in white, BBS and buff. i have nooooo clue.
