Arizona Chickens

I know it's a long shot, but my daughter wants me to at least try to find a good home for our rooster.
He's a beautiful gold sex link rooster, always fed organic, corn and soy free feed. He's almost 19 weeks old and ready to go to a good home that needs an organically raised rooster with ladies of his own.
Of course, we are not allowed roosters, otherwise we'd keep him.

Does anyone see my last post? I don't see anything unless I edit it and then it's all there.

They are the Black Cooper Marans. I got the eggs from an auction here on BYC.
I had cuckoo Marans up in Washington and loved them. In fact those are the ones I really wanted to get again but those darn dark eggs on the auction sucked me in

. My cuckoo rooster was the gentlest giant you've ever seen. And so protective of his ladies.

SherrieT What kind of Marans are you hatching?? My cuckoo marans are the Drama Queens of the flock. When one of them lays an egg the whole world knows about it!! Just before Thanksgiving I hatched out 10 French Wheatens and can't wait to see if they have the same personalities as the cuckoos.

I'm trying to post with a couple of pictures and it isn't working!
Anyway,

I know it's a long shot, but my daughter wants me to at least try to find a good home for our rooster.

If I could post pictures you'd see how pretty he is.

Becky, try going to the icon with the faint pic on it, just left of the film-strip, which is just left of the paper clip. Click on it, then a box will come up and then click "choose file". That will direct you to your computer, where you will select the file with the pic. It seems odd at first, but I think the new method of posting pics is far superior to the old.

That is so awesome of Granny's Roost to loan you the incubator! I LOVE my Cuckoo Marans. She might be my very favorite bird. Plus, what's not to like about that dark egg and the orange-est yolks you could imagine. I wished I had more. Good luck with your hatch.
