Arizona Chickens

Congrats Mikey and condolences too. Poly Vi Sol might help? It was recommended to us a while back, the chick lived just don't know if it was because of that or not.

Mikey, are any of the App. Spitz chicks looking strong? How many did you get? I tried to look back, but I can't find it. I really hope some are doing well, I know how badly you wanted some of those guys.

Mikey,
What a great day for you! I can't believe the size of that egg! Maybe we should all get some red broilers!

I can tell the difference btwn 236 and Gsl. I've had both. Show me pictures!

OK folks, lets think happy thoughts...

Thanks Becky.

Here are the first two, slightly different shades...no dots

Second two - occasional dot - one on the top of each head & a few elsewhere...side view

Head shot - you are looking at the top of her head in the front middle of the picture - her beak is down

Gold sex links or Ideal #XXX's?

I'd rather not give itsredcandy the wrong peepers tomorrow.

We really like the Florida prince, low chill hours and very sweet. Of coarse any home grown peach will be like that. I heard the Bonanza is really sweet and a heavy producer, hope fully we get some buds this year.

I got 12 total.

2 males & 4 pullets to keep and 6 pullets for MemphisJourneytoSeramas. (Jess, I hope I got your screen name right)

One pullet & one of the males passed. One more pullet looks un-energetic but is still upright.

There are 2-3 more that aren't bouncing around, just much smaller and less lively than the rest.

All the rest of them look just fine.

Thanks kev! Both of those are on my short list. I've been thinking about your idea of a scion exchange. If I ever get around to learning how to graft, I'd be all over that.

Thanks Kev. I don't know if anything would have helped. The poor little guy was just too weak to make the trip.

I was dipping his beak every 10 - 15 min & holding him under the heat lamp to try to warm him up to no avail.

He never really stood up since he arrived.

I'm about out of time for the pear and plum trees. No one has them, I wonder if a nursery would cut off some limbs for me? I don't know how to really graft them either, good videos on you-tube though.
