I was in the right place at the right time. Went in to see how she was doing and she stood up and out it came. Always exciting to watch them. I got Iris from aurorarose25. I think she got them from hinkjc on byc. They are beautiful for sure.

If I had room for more chickens, I'd be ordering lavender orpington eggs right now to put under my broody. I'd love to add some to my flock.

I need a few OneDot clones in my coop.

Did the Squaw Peak Perimeter trail today... 1hr14minutes. Not bad for a fat man.

Cleaned the big coop and the NYD hatch grow out pen... they all look nice with fresh shavings ... at least for a couple of minutes.

The chick I sat on is still alive but doesn't look like it's thriving. It's eating and drinking but just looks droopy.

I've got to take pics of my Ground Hog's day chicks.

Just got back from Shoppers...

250 W brooder reflectors for $9. Picked up a bottle waterer for brooder #2 and a nifty 10 gal galvanized trash can.

Plus they had the hard to find 12 x 24 AC filters for my house as well.

These are the chicks they had left...



they aren't really that crowded, just huddled form someone reaching in.

So how many of you are going to show chickens at the show next Saturday? And how many are going to just show up & have some fun? Does anyone have a count? We still have some room for some chickens in the show if anyone is interested? We are trying to get 1000 this year and we are almost there we need more entries.... Anyone interested?

WE went there and its soooo cool. They are donating things to the poultry show.. Everyone is so nice & friendly there.
