You crack me up girl. Hey I might be interested in that black silkie if turns out to be hen.
Had a really windy, cold and some rain squal go through Wittmann! When I went out to see if all was well I found one chick out cold. Not sure if it was thrown or didn't get under Cotton's wing fast enough. It was barely alive but I stuffed it in between my boobs and finished getting one area that blew over in the goat pen taken care of. By the time I was in the house some life was stirring. Put the chick on a heating pad and was able to return it to Cotton about 2 hours after I found it! Big Boobs can be good for something!![]()

Guys you are gunna love Kat! She has the neatest miniature collection of animals. Miniature cow, sweet goats, mini horses. All types of birds. The farm is neatly kept! OH and tortoise and rabbits!
This evening we went out to feed and call in the free chickens and found that the hens were chasing their rooster Hawkeye, all around beating the hell out of him! Poor guy we caught him and put him with BlueBell. We noticed he acts blind or dizzy. Staggering some but walking into things. We see nothing in his eyes wrong. No marks or blood other than the bleeding around his head the hens made. I wonder if he got picked up and thrown during that windstorm! Well Bluebell will take care of him. Hope he can go back being the flocks rooster! Hawkeye is a pretty boy and nice for a rooster. He is ameraucanas. Tell you what! I have grown not to like those Aloha hens we have. We have two and they are mean! Very pushy and very aggressive toward other hens.
