Haha I had a dream about why chickens cross the road last night. It was like...the SciFi channel got a hold of my head and shook it.

I went early today to go pick up a friend of mine to help with my coop at his college. He's very sweet himself but the same cannot be said for the jerks on campus!
There was a women struggling to push and pull this huge three cart stack of soda pops, chips and vending machine crud threw the halls.
One of the carts topple off and the chips went everywhere. SEVEN persons walked past her without even blinking!
I got out of my car and helped her pick it up and push it to the next hall way. Her comment really got to me "Thanks, most people don't care".
God...that just sucks and it makes me so angry. You walk around on a very nice school and buy 6 cans of soda for you and your friends in class but you can't hold the door open for the woman who refills it EVERYDAY. Show a little human side every now and then, just because your busy and your classes are hard doesn't mean you have to be an ass.

Well she wasn't a student, it looked to me like a teacher. Another reason to help out...
That comment though, that sort of struck home pretty hard. I just felt this terrible lack of confidence in her voice and this feeling of misery.

Sock Puppet, What a wonderful thing your contest is. I am sure many, many others are enjoying the photo's as I am . You are right, some are really great. I have a few favorites myself. I see you set a limit of 2-3 statues. Smart move. What kind of statues do you make? Do they take long to sculpt? We should start a poll on how many entries there will be by the end of March. Let's see, 171 now, double at least, plus all the last minute folks, plus the more that post the more that see it, gaining momentum, wow!

Wanted to go down to the show in CG this weekend, but I just have to much going.

Had an elderly gentleman change lanes on 24th Street yesterday and hit into me. Did a small amount of damage to my vehicle just above my right rear wheel. His Ins. Co. (Safeco) called and they are being real nice about getting my car fixed fast... but I have to take it to ABC Collision on Camelback at noon so that shoots my day.... plus we are doing a 4 mile fun run tomorrow morning at Granada Park.

Went to Western Ranchman this morning to buy some grower. They have some pretty little bantams... I was very tempted to buy a couple of polish, they had some white crested blues and blacks.

Time to take a nap.

Thanks, about my contest. Been wanting to do one for about a year now, but wanted to wait until I knew that I would have time to make the prizes.

Depending on how complicated the sculpture is, I can do one in a day to about 3 days. (this is if I sit and do it) I could have finished the prizes by now, but got sidetracked LOL

If you want you can start a poll. I would like to see what others say

I do have on there that I am limiting it to 2 - 3 sculptures. Soooo, depending on if I get 2 or 3 done, will depend on if there is 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Or I might could have some honorable mentions.

I will have to see.

Hi Mahonri! Here you go (all three from wheaton eggs):

They're sleeping in the pic - I turned off the heat lamp to take the pic (red light) - they're doing great.

The chick that hatched last night looked hot today - had it's mouth open a little so I decided to take it out and get it a drink of water. It's only 100 degrees in the bator, but the chick couldn't get very far from the light and I didn't want to harm it by letting it get overheated. The other two chicks were fine because they were still wet, but I went ahead and removed all 3 of them. I have two humidifiers running in my bedroom for this hatch, so the humidity in the incubator didn't suffer when I quickly lifted the top (I don't take it all the way off).

I have 6 more pips now, including 2 from the cooler side of the bator - 1 looks like it's getting ready to zip - big chunks near the pip - actually, I just went in there and checked and a different egg is starting to zip.

I'm keeping the humidity between 60-65%.
