Arizona Chickens

Terri I havent seen your chicks yet :( well I can only speak for mine but in the summer after it get to 100 ive had no problems with even my 1 day olds being out in the nursery outside . they have plenty of shade during the day and they all cuddle at night and since its still 80 out at midnight here no problems with them getting cold. Now if we get a cold front come I put the heat light out for them..

I get my baby boy "Smiley" Home today!!! YEA!!! See ya soon , Fuzzybird!!!
That baby is so darn sweet. Im going to be adding 2 more to my own herd soon . I just love this picture too.... priceless... thats a great name for him Puffycheeks, I was hoping youd swing by and takes some baby chicks home with you today . maybe next trip out we will know the Sex.on some for you

I've been working with the GSL adolescents to try to get them handle-able (is that a word?)

I've got them to where they still squawk when I pick them up but they'll set on my leg (whilst I'm sett'n in a chair) and tolerate being petted. (Remember, Mikey has 10 grandchildren and the chickens are for them - I derive no enjoyment out of them!

So I have one on my knee and she is very mellow and maybe even enjoying the attention when suddenly she squawks and jumps and in her place appears one of the big barred rock girls (who is also really tame and enjoys the knee)

Evidently I made one of the big girls jealous!
