Arizona Chickens

Hey there Arizonians! Gallo gave me the link to this thread. Just dropping in to say hi. I'm in East Tucson.

Gospel chicken: If you decide you want a roo, I've got the sweetest Icelandic roo in my coop.

If anyone is interested in raising Icelandics, or wants a really good tempered little roo for their flock, please let me know. I'm going to try to keep him and hope he doesn't annoy my neighbors, otherwise I'm going to have to send him over to notinoz, because I don't think I can eat him.

Yep, it worked!

Awesome! Nothing today, but I won't rush my ladies. What a great tasting egg!

Here is a picture of my coop BEFORE the shadecloth "roof was added:

And here is a photo AFTER the shadecloth "roof" was added. Which reminds me I need to finish strapping the thing down on that side. Ooops...

And another angle showing the shadecloth "roof". This sucker is hard to photograph. Pity I didn't think to get photos as I built it. Duh...

Nice job!

I'll bet that shade cloth helps to keep the temps down a lot inside.

Hi, I'm in Tucson, just posted a for sale ad for Spangled Russian Orloffs, Orloff crossed with Ameraucana, Marans, and Blue Laced Red Wyandottes. Check it out--

I sure would love to find a few more people dedicated to breeding the Orloffs--they are wonderful birds.

I just have to say that DESERTMARCY'S birds are awesome! I bought my two blue laced red Wyandottes from her. Her pens are super clean and all of the birds are healthy and happy. If I could have more chickens, I would definitely take to trip down there again!
