Awesome! Really nice looking stripers and the catfish too. Did you catch the stripers near the surface in shad boils or were they down deeper? We went last week to San Diego and got to fly fish for the first time in the Pacific Ocean. It was great fun. We'll soon be off for more fly fishing in CO and NM. I can't wait.

We caught them between 60-90 feet down. Not many shad boils today. Saw some boils near the boat ramp though. Lots of carp breaching too.
We fished the Bitterroot River in Montana and caught some rainbows. Was fun watching the fly fishermen in their "floaties" going down the river.

I have a lot of silkies for sale. Colors: paint, black, buff, white, partridge, blue, golden cuckoo, partridge cuckoo, silver cuckoo. I also have some show quality bantam brahmas babies in buff & light for sale as well. Ages range from days old to almost point of lay.

I even have a few red sexlink females that should be laying in 2 months. They lay the largest JUMBO sized brown eggs I have ever seen..

If interested email me.. Need them gone ASAP. Might consider trades as well..

Man, I wish I had convinced my wife to let me have the chickens already. I'd take a couple of the sexlink females off your hand right now. How much are you wanting for them?

I'm not found of the silkies that I've seen photos of so far. Just a little too eccentric for my tastes.

To all the Newbies !

I thought I'd share a few tips that might help someone.
I freeze water bottles and put them inside of the waterers to keep the water cold during these Heat waves in AZ. TO keep the algie from growing I add a little apple cider vinager to all my animals waters. Water misters are a life saver ! And when my chicks hatch out, I put them in a rubbermaid tub with NON skid rubber shelf liner and change it out daily. They are easy to wash of and reuse and I found some at the 99 cent store

Works great and keep your chicks from getting spraddle leg because they dont slip. Now if somebody could give me a tip on this pesky FLYS. this is the part of monsoon I dont like THE FLYS are thick and everywhere !

Great idea...thanks for sharing. I have been putting a block of ice everyday in my coop and it lasts about 8 hours or so. The chickens love to sit and stand on the block of ice. They also like to drink the ice cold water as it melts. Between the block of ice, the frozen treats and the misters, I hope I am doing all I can to keep them safe and healthy through this heat.

We stayed up really late - OK early this morning - but Tammy got up with me to shoot up the cluckers.

Have I mentioned I have the bestest wife?

One-dot's sister ( I really have to come up with a shorter name for that gal) seems to be gak-ing up less today & no sneezing.

Sure hope this is the last of it.

Pima & Itsred...what parts of PDX? I lived in SW, SE and far E, worked downtown, NW, clackamas and beaverton areas.....
I am happy to be moving closer to water, and trees, although not so excited about all of the creepy-crawlies

And I'm gonna miss and worry about my Ladies so much......oh yeah, and my DH too!!
