I did and they were confused as well. S/he was singing her/his heart out this morning with the other 2. I had a trio at 6:30. Of course they stopped when they saw my flip video camera.Dang, looks so much like a pullet. Have you tried the Orpington thread?
Thanks Scott. The 1st 3 pictures were taken when I worked at JW Marriott Revive Spa. The owls nested in the palm tree by one of the cabanas. I had a great shot of them. The last photo was taken over my chicken coop. This owl was 15 feet up looking at the girls. Then 2 started coming around. Will have to look for their pictures in my iphoto gallery. Always have my camera with me as you never know what you may come across.Great info on the owls! It was late last night and I had a bout of laziness, posting the request instead of looking it up. But hey, we got some gorgeous photos out of it, like always. You never cease to amaze me, Chris. Those are just awesome. I'll have to figure something else out for the girls then. Maybe have my daughters go back to the house every morning before school to let them out at about 0700 Hours. I'll look in to those daylight sensor doors, too.
Quote: What are you feeding them? Sounds like they need more protein. And separation until there are not bare spots that stimulate them to peck.

Do you have photos? Ages? Boys have Einstein-like crests, the girls' look like a boufant style hair-do off of Lawrence WelkAnyone expert in sexing polish? I have four silver laced that I can't tell any of them. I only want to keep one of the pullets. If I judge by size of the feet, I have two of each...
Quote: Game and Fish told me Great Horned Owls are "killing machines." A few years back one killed several of my birds, including a fairly good sized largefowl cochin.
Quote: Dang, I may have four boys! Guess I'll have to take a trip to Pratt's.
