I just noticed how crappy those pics are. I was snapping quick before she took off.

It is a pullet. The bird doesn't have the crescent shaped feather that you will see on the sides of a rooster nor the thin feather you would see around the neck. The wattles and comb will get redder just before they begin to lay.

Yeh we'll she was cold and my other chickens are fine she's still kickin though but has recovered slightly

Try raising the perch. They like to feel safe and a higher perch will do that. You could put them on the perch for a couple of nights after dark and it will probably get them started.
I use a sanded 2x4 with the 4" side up. Some people put the 2" side up.
I will do this tomorrow!! I thought it might have something to do with it.
My first little flock didn't roost until they were 12+ weeks... they preferred to all sleep together, squeezing into nesting boxes. It was pretty funny. Then a couple started roosting right above them and eventually they all went to the roosts. I also use 2x4's with the 4 side being what they roost on. I did it that way so that in the cold winters we have, they can lay on their feet and cover them completely.
That's what my girls do right now, squeez into the nesting box together, it's funny to see them huddled together like they are protecting each other.
They aren't genuis, thats for sure. One track minds. lol
Yeah, Eat, drink, poop, sleep, repeat.....I tried to get my girls to come out and do some freeranging like I do everyday, and they stayed in the coop...I don't get them some days!! Other days I can't even get their water out without a runner.

Pic of my BR at about 9 weeks. Her comb and wattles were really pink one day and then paler another. A roo's coloring would be more white over black. A pullet would be the opposite. I also had 2 Silver Laced Wyandottes the same age and one matured faster than the other in the comb and wattles.

The legs on your gal look thin in your photo. A roo has thick legs.

Awesome! This makes me smile! Thank you.

Thanks for the help!

I guess that means the only one I am unsure of now is the Rhode Island Red. She's still pretty little. 5-6 weeks.
