I also pee all around my camp when I'm out in the boonies. Never in the same spot twice. No!not around the house, the garden.![]()
It all started when I moved into a cottage, the past residents feed the raccoons, letting them have free run of the house. When I moved in the first thing that happened was they destroyed the screens on my window, my front door, got into as much as they could, ate everything or at the very lest tasted what I had. I worked as a mate on a party fishing boat, Max capacity 45. Though my job I came in contact with very interesting people. One turned out to be a professional hunter for farmers and ranchers removing pest animals such as wild pigs, using several means. He was a guide, gave classes on hunting, tracking, butchering game, and wilderness survival. Maybe more. This was in the 80's. if he is still alive today he would be called a prepper, I guess. He is the one that told me what to do. Because I am a woman when not to. He dose it to keep campsite safe from raiding animals. There is no guarantee, a very Alfa may challenge, but for the most part you will come back to a camp as you left it. (This dose not mean you do not secure your food appropriately. It only means they will not come in looking for food from past experience with people). He has used this to guide animals to him, cutting off trails were the split so they will go right instead of left.
I just thought it was worth a try to protect your chickens. The area around your yard. Your family is a pack, the pack leader thing. Coyotes are not the highest in the order. But city coyotes may not be polite. I do not know. But it is worth trying with them jumping walls, snatching chickens with you in yard.
I seem to pee outside alot, it's more of a natural, comfortable thing I suppose.
