Chickeneggineer--Thank you. How many chickens do you have? I'm starting out with some quail because it is on a smaller scale. Once I get past the learning curve, I may graduate to chickens. That is, if my HOA permits them. Having some difficulty finding out about my HOA's CC&R's.
Any suggestions for chicken breeds that do well here in Maricopa?

I like using meyer hatchery's site for researching that information. They have good pictures showing what the chickens will look like when older.We have silkies, speckled Sussex, lakenvelder, light brahma, black copper Marans & many more.. If you go to a hatchery web site
they will let you know what is heat tolerant, egg color, good layers & what not...
