Woohoo. Just scored 3 free chicks. Going to get them now and will need help with the breed as they didn't know. Look very cool. I'll post pics later.

Yay!! I got 2 free chicks and they are both hens. I got very lucky.

What did I get? One looks like a Buff, the other 2 I have no clue.

CityFarm: I have a couple 2 month old RIR Roos for free. Not sure of any others yet.

Ok I know this is a long shot but is anyone going or coming from phx to Tucson this weekend or next? I know there is a bird show in phx next weekend. I am kinda desperate. I want to help Aloha with her Aloha chickens and I was supposed to be going to phx this weekend or next but my ride has been scheduled to work now and I cannot get the chicks. She is over run with chicks and needs me to get them asap. I am willing to pay $15 - 20 for gas. Please let me know and Thank you. We might also get the seed exchange to phx by this same way?? Just a thought.

I'm not planning on doing in trips down there, but if it's a serious matter of being overrun for Sommer, I'd be willing to foster them for the few weeks until you can get up here for them. I have the brooder and lamp still set up, practically ready to go. I'll need to clean out the bedding and flush the watering system, but I could do that in an hour or two without any problems. I'll message you my number and we can work something out.

My sister lives there and will be coming here in the middle of next week. I can see if she would be willing to take them back with her. Or I might be going there next Saturday...

Ok, ya all are not going to believe this!!! One of our neighbors would like a rooster for his flock.. e
So with that said let us know what y'all got to give a way??? And I must add this...

Does it need to be a full grown Roo? I have a few different types of younger Roos to choose from.. Std and bantam.

Yes, they have been handled and are people friendly. If I squat down in their pen they will usually walk right up looking for treats and let me scratch their chest. There are olive eggers and BLRW that are 2 1/2 months old, Bantam Cochins that are 2 months old, and BCM's that are 1 1/2 month old.

For The rooster not bantam. Has to be a easy to hold and check on. Not sure of what breed they want, I will pass along photos if any of you have some. We live in Tempe so for me in helping,I would like for it to be close.
