Hi, I joined last night and I live in Mesa. What is EE??

is there really a 12-step group for buying too many chickens?I have four hens and I have 4 adolescent chicks and I have two other baby chicks and 1 turkey a white broad wing. NOW, , I WANT a lavender Americana! I gave 2 red Island Rhodes chicks to my new neighbor & a buff and blk astralorp (spelling? ?) To a young mama as I promised her!

Ok, ya all are not going to believe this!!! One of our neighbors would like a rooster for his flock.. e
So with that said let us know what y'all got to give a way??? And I must add this...

I have a 4.5 month old NN / Ameraucanas Roo

He said he would like a medium size, people friendly.. I am giving him 2 of our girls.. He also has another hen from his friend.. His coop is almost done..
How about you send some photos.. I will have pick of the litter when it comes to Roos..

Ok I know this is a long shot but is anyone going or coming from phx to Tucson this weekend or next? I know there is a bird show in phx next weekend. I am kinda desperate. I want to help Aloha with her Aloha chickens and I was supposed to be going to phx this weekend or next but my ride has been scheduled to work now and I cannot get the chicks. She is over run with chicks and needs me to get them asap. I am willing to pay $15 - 20 for gas. Please let me know and Thank you. We might also get the seed exchange to phx by this same way?? Just a thought.

Shoot sounds fun, wish I could go... Next weekend is mothers day.. We always go mountain biking in Sedona for the day.. Hay, that would be awesome if you could grab it..I am willing to have a few get-2-gethers here, then pass it along..

Yes, they have been handled and are people friendly. If I squat down in their pen they will usually walk right up looking for treats and let me scratch their chest. There are olive eggers and BLRW that are 2 1/2 months old, Bantam Cochins that are 2 months old, and BCM's that are 1 1/2 month old.

These are my 2 RIR young Roos. About 7 weeks old or so. Maybe 8 weeks. Very used to being handled. They follow me wherever I go and are very used to being held.

Ok great that might work... I like that you said they are used to being handled.. He was wanting a nice roo.. So funny cause all roosters are nice when they are little..

First two are olive eggers, last two pictures are of one of the BLRW he's actually black but I have blue also. Not the greatest pictures it was getting dark.

I stopped in Goodwill this morning and scored two terracotta wine coolers for $3 and $4! e I'm planing on using them to keep my quail cooler this summer.  I filled them with water and let them sit and after the clay got saturated they were amazingly cool to the touch!  Since the quail cages are elevated to keep the dogs from going after them they don't have the ground to scratch into.  Even though their cages are well shaded I worry about the extreme heat.  These coolers along with the saucers will help them stay cooler.

How often do your quail lay? That is so cool that you have them..
