Arizona Chickens

DITTO. That's pretty audacious.

VERY random... and yes there would be feathers. And in the amount of time it would take a predator to get all of them, at least ONE of them would have caught on and made some noise.

I wonder if the neighbors were using any kind of bug spray or fertilizers???? We had a couple lovebirds die after the "totally save around animals" bug guy came by, a few years ago. Stinks!

Thank you for this comment. I have been very wary of those "totally safe around animals" promises. I am glad to know that it is good to be so with my chickens.

Dear Cheech,

Those are neither tomato nor pepper plants.

Love, Chong.

Lol! Clever!

What did I miss? Ive been gone two weeks. My daughter was born on the 2nd (very traumatic event) but she is healthy and doing well. We named her Azari. It means "walking with God" so we thought it to be entirely appropriate.

I have 43 eggs in the incubator (if I counted good). Lots of EE'ers and SLW and a hand full of RIR/EE and a few Leghorn/SLW mixes. Hatch should take place around the end of the month. I am pretty excited about this hatch. Its my first bunch with my own eggs.

Tomorrow I will be in the coop with hubby seperating out the ones we will be keeping from the ones we wont keep. Its going to be hard to pick and choose because so many of them are good looking and very friendly. I had planned on doing this two weeks ago but the baby had other plans for us.

I hope everyone has been well.

Shaun - How is that leg issue your birds were having? Has it cleared up any?

NoSkiveez - Welcome back and Congratulations on your new baby!

Well it was great to put a face with the name. (cluckin crazy) I hope she enjoys that nice Barred Rock. I couldn't talk her into any more.

Noskiviz: Congrats on the little one.

We've got a busy weekend planned... wedding, choir concert, coop cleaning, yard work at the office...

I'm sure we'll enjoy the pool this weekend.
