Arizona Chickens

I won't be showing anything, sadly... stray dogs killed all my show birds in April. But I'll be there to provide support and company for a friend who has always come with her sister in the past, but her sister passed away in an accident a few months back.

And if I can pick up some show birds, all the better.

I'm the teenager with brown and blond hair, and I always wear my camo Marana FFA sweater, also how do we sign up? I called and had a late entry last year.

I used to have chickens in a tall barn. They roosted way up in the rafters. I had one that would drop those on us as we walked down the barn aisle. Lol

I hope you can get some nice birds while helping out your friend.

@K9Dave I wanted to mention I have 2 one year old neutered male cats that came from a feral mother. They are good mousers. They live in my house but they are not very friendly, I mean you can touch one but not pick them up. You are welcome to have them as barn cats. They need to be locked up for a few weeks to get to know where home is. They will need to still have supplemental cat feed. I have watched them catch mice before and they can be trained to your birds pretty easy. Most cats are afraid of adult chickens. Just an idea. :)
Are they good with dogs? Do they need to go together?

Think I already have one picked out now. Thank you though.
So who are you getting?

Hey, is anyone coming to the TPPFFC show here in Tucson next month? We should do a meetup.

I'll be there, attempting to organize the Friday evening potluck during coop-in. For those who are planning to bring stuff, we could use some actual dinner type food

Probably won't have anything to show. Someone's loose dogs killed my best birds. There is one Black Java cockerel I might show if he grows back his sickle feathers in time. He would make everybody else's birds look really good.

I thought I had the entry forms but can't find them at the moment. The show is November 21-23. Usually the entry forms (and payment) have to be in at least 10-14 days ahead. I will post the forms if I can find them. If you are on Facebook you can look up the Tucson Poultry Pigeon and Fancy Fowl Club and pm Michelle (the page owner) for the November show info.
