Arizona Chickens

o I have a pair of hatchery quality silkies , the roo has blue/slate legs with sparse foot feathering, white or yellow skin, a red comb and large wattles the hen has a very comb light gray skin and sparse foot feathering they are both buff colored with some black in the tail

I'm sorry, I just sold all my Silkies, so I don't want anymore. I'm sorry.

Well I found the blue and black copper and white Marans I was after. Now waiting on getting the Isbars and lavender Marans. I thinks I have a good line on getting lavender and blue guinea keets too. My husband so far is supporting me but I have to be careful not to push it too far LOL

Just for the broodieness of them I think I am going to try and find two or three silkie hens. hmmmm, yes I think so. If I can find some that like to be broodie I can hatch eggs with them.

This is a strange situation with the female and male dog. They have been together his entire life and he is just over a year old. She is maybe 1 1/2 or 2. They had puppies. When she was having puppies I moved her inside because it was winter and I didn't want them to die. So after a few weeks, we moved them outside. I think he's jealous, but now that she is back outside, he attacks anytime they are near each other. Because of my elbow injury, I can't handle them on leashes and no one else has bothered to lift a finger to fix the issue. So to avoid problems, I just keep them apart. I'd love to be able to train him to tolerate her again because he is a super intelligent dog, but I just can't do it physically.

You will soon.. It does take a lot of time, but well worth it..

I have one silkierhen I don't need she is pet quality only she tried to go broody last year , she just started laying last spring

Yeah! My hatch ended with the last "birth" occurring around 3:00 AM this morning. All 9 eggs I put in lockdown hatched successfully, though I had to help chick #8 as it was "breech" in its egg and couldn't get out on its own. I wound up with six Bielefelder males and 3 females...not quite the ratio I'd hoped for, but they're very healthy, lively, and very sweet chicks I can breed from to increase my flock size. Here's photos of the first 8. Chick #9 - a girl - is still working on becoming "fluffy". Girl Girl
They are precious..

Where are you getting yours from? Are you in Tucson? Would you like to go in on the order? Or if you get more, sell some?

* I'm on a wait list for Ideal Poultry for a few. But if I can get a few before then, I'm game. I'm going to call Cackle Hatchery tomorrow and see what they have avail around April 1st to the end of the month. I'm up northwest of Phoenix. But I have family all over Tucson. What cross streets are ya close to?¿ *

Does anybody have blue ameraucanas or welsummers for sale right now? I found some at a local feed store, but I really don't want them from there because I have heard bad things from that specific feed store.

I have blue/black Ameraucanas. Chicks straight run. Some are older, hatched end of Jan., and I've got newly hatched as well. Feed stores sell "easter eggers", not true Ameraucanas, if what they are selling came from a big commercial hatchery. PM me if interested, I'm in Tucson.
