Arizona Chickens

I have blue/black Ameraucanas. Chicks straight run. Some are older, hatched end of Jan., and I've got newly hatched as well. Feed stores sell "easter eggers", not true Ameraucanas, if what they are selling came from a big commercial hatchery. PM me if interested, I'm in Tucson.
I am also in Tucson, but are your Ameraucanas chicks a black and blue cross, or are some chicks black Ameraucanas and some are blue ameraucanas?

They are pure bred Ameraucanas. Blue-Black-Splash. I have a black male over blue pullets, so all the offspring are either blue or black, no splash. Blue does not breed true in poultry. Blue to Blue gives 50% blue, 25% black, 25% splash. Blue is a dilution gene of black. One blue gene dilutes black to blue, two blue genes dilutes to splash. Black Ameraucanas are their own color. You can see the recognized colors of Ameraucanas here: http://www.ameraucana.org/

Okay, do you have any pictures of the chicks. I might be interested! How much are you selling the youngest blue/black ones?

No, I haven't taken photos of them. They just look like blue and black Ameraucana chicks! Newly hatched are $8 each.
$12 each if you just want the blue color, but if you buy an equal # of black and blue, they are all the same price ($8).
I sell all my standard bred chicks for $8. I have a hatch coming out tomorrow. Most are being shipped to CA, but if there are extras left after that order, they are up for grabs. If you want some a little older, I've got those too.

Does anybody have blue ameraucanas or welsummers for sale right now? I found some at a local feed store, but I really don't want them from there because I have heard bad things from that specific feed store.

How many do you want? I have a few hatchery ones right now.

Hello and what a story!   I'm so sorry about Beverly.  :hugs   There are a few people here on the AZ thread raising NNs.  I hope your mysterious new bird gets some flock mates soon.

Thank you! You don't happen to know if there is a way to search for people raising the NNs specifically do you?

Ooho would love some! Once all of my chickens are laying I'm going to start gathering eggs and my great grandpa is going to gather eggs from his wheaten Americana too over his slightly too dark wheaten hens and he's going to split those chicks with me. Would love yoga's some blue or black hens to keep the bloodline from being too inbred though

What are they, are they welsummers, or blue ameraucanas? If they are the blue ameraucanas, I would like a roo and a hen. But if they are wellsummers, I would like a hen.

I would just want the blue ones. So $12?
