Arizona Chickens

That made me laugh! And doesn't anyone realize that Sheriff Joe doesn't/didn't need sb1070, he already has a task force with that kind of jurisdiction.

The mist should not be going ON the birds, but rather be pointed outward from their cages/pens/coops. But yes, my misters sometimes do twist and get the birds wet

I have young birds in cages on the back porch where I can keep a closer eye on them. The fans are on all day, misters during the hottest parts.

Its been a few days since I've been on. We were out of town for my FIL's funeral in Parker. I was sad to see him go, but happy I was blessed enough to know this man. We stayed at a friend of a friends House. She was out of town and opened her home to us without knowing us. We just had to feed the peacock. Her peahen was murdered by a coyote but she is getting a new one and she's already laying and she is going to give me eggs.

I've sent the last of my 2 dozen roosters to new homes and found a home for 20 chicks. Thankfully! I was starting to wonder if I would ever find a home for them. Bad news is, I have more in the bator due to hatch at the end, I ended up giving the chicks to the lady that took lots of roosters. One of my Silkies has laid 3 eggs in the last week, so those need to go in the bator. Hopefully I will get a hen out of those, I traded my silkie rooster with a friend but he's here for a bit to hopefully get a nice pullet before he goes home with her.

Oh, so where I was going (before I got distracted) was that I will have chicks at the end of the month, so if someone has a hen they would like to stuff some chicks under...PLEASE letter me know. I would rather them get a home than not get a home.

Rufus... You had me truly LAUGHING OUT LOUD!

Tucson Tofu: PM me I already have two on the list, you'll be third
I'll also be letting go of some of my wheaten Am pullets that hatched the end of April.
I will also have a nice Blue Wheaten Roo (Jan 1st hatch) and 2 Blue Wheaten roos that hatched the end of April.

I'll be keeping all of my BW pullets and I'm hoping to have at least 15 of them so that I can gather their eggs and do a hatch in January again.

Noskiveez... I'd love to get 4 of your little ones for another one of my broodies... what breeds do you have?

I just have SLW and EE's in there. I have some mixes (leghorn mixes) but I lock down the white eggs on a different shelf so that I know which ones are the mixes and can mark them when they come out of the bator.

If my hen is still broody, I will take some SLWs. Just like 2. Any chance they are sexed at hatch??? I sooooo don't need any more chickens! We are on overload.

ETA: I would like another WA or two, Mahonri. Put me on the list.

I can try to make an educated Guess based off wing feathers, but I can't promise gender. Based off everything I have read about feather sexing, its not very reliable. I can do my best to give you what I think is a pullet.
