Arizona Chickens

That's interesting - our feed store EE lays those torpedo eggs also. She has only laid about 10 eggs in her 3 year life. None of them were edible. She's definitely got some kind of issue going on but it hasn't stopped her from being feisty and fun to be around.

Our first egg tonight!

I found a great deal on banana plants at the Lowe's clearance rack after a tip from @City farm . They were only $5 for these big red banana plants, though they do have some sun damage. I'm hoping to get them planted where the chickens can't get to them since they decimated the foliage on my baby Raja Pura banana.

Hi all been gone for awhile, It has been crazy here. Finally got to where I can start coming to the forum and catching up. Well let's see. We built some tube feeders and my feed bill dropped to almost half. I had no idea I was losing that much feed. We have started to run pipe for an automatic watering system using the nipples and a 350 gallon holding tank. Have 3 out of 7 paddocks set up for it now. Should have two more today. My Isbar hen went broody with only two eggs so I let her have them they both hatched. Eggciting to see she was a great mother and the roo a gentle dad. Trimmed down about 60 birds and only have a few left for sale or trade in the chicks. Just set 18 barred rock eggs. Building paddock number 9 with 6 to go.If anyone want to see what some of my birds look like as they grow website is feathermeadows.com Whew that was a mouth full.

I am in search of Isbar pullets or hens not chicks though since I only have the one.

So now to scroll up and see what I have been missing.
