Arizona Chickens

I live in the tucson area, and I am due to get a new chicken this weekend. I want to get a silkie, as the bird I had before was a silkie. (He was re-homed, as we could not keep a rooster. No shame, I cried)

Does anyone know of a place that I could buy an ADULT silkie chicken? Bantam or standard does not matter.

I have been to OK Feed and Supply, and though their selection is wide, and they do have silkies, almost all of them are mutts, and breeding isn't very controlled. Nor is gender seperation XD

If I cant find a different store that sells silkies, I will go back to OK Feed, but I was wondering....

Try Tucson Craigslist. I just typed in "silkies" or "silkie" and there were a couple listings that showed up.

Finally both Molly the chicken and Loraine our duck layed their first egg!
Front top Clair banty hen, Jacqueline muscovy.
new egg from Loraine, Lauren silver Swedish duck,
new egg from @desertmarcy girl Molly, then Blondie splash wheaten ameraucana and last but not least cheryl the silkie bantam. . Molly's egg color is close to Blondie's.. thanks desertmarcy

Yeah, she's fine. The shots were primarily a precaution because she got scratched, not bitten. She actually told me she almost called me to come kill it because she knows my husband and I always have a gun within reach and she didn't know where hers was. I now have The Judge loaded with shot on my thigh when I go out to release the chickens every morning. 

LOL! "The Judge" is a handful! I always thought you were a dainty "Ladysmith" type!

LOL! Nothing "dainty" about me. I also have a Tavor Sar and UTS 15, but my conceal carry is a Glock. And I absolutely do NOT own a pink gun. Basic black is more my style.

Mines not pink, either-camoflauge ruger LC9 and an AR-15 with a zombie on it and safety that says "alive, dead, undead " on it (though no automatic for me, just the print)

Got 15 eggs today! That's the most if ever gotten!! Such a pretty array of colors.

That LC-9 is nice, but a little small for my long fingers. Still, you can never go wrong with a Ruger. And LOVE the zombie theme.
